Jean-Marc Fandel is an enterprising seasoned business leader, focused on taking entrepreneurs and growth companies to the next level of maturity, facilitating a healthy development.

JM advises and trains entrepreneurs and their teams to effectively “scale up” by building a high-performance culture, formulating a clear strategy, establishing robust processes, while monitoring closely the cash cycle – all without drama.

JM held the post of Chief Operating Officer to scale up MASH, Chief Executive Officer of CETREL and Managing Director at SIX Payment Services, spanning operations in multiple countries. He drove exceptional business transformation and growth, resulting for instance in a 10x increase of activity and tripling the project pipeline to a total contract value of several hundred million euro.

Trademark characteristics that Jean-Marc is known for, are his crafting of growth strategies, methodical decision-making process and capacity to federate various stakeholders in complex governance situations. His strong professional background in IT technology and digital experience gives him the ability to evaluate risk-reward effectively when exploring opportunities for growth.

Jean-Marc is also known for his clear, transparent, and cooperative leadership style to inspire teams to achieve their shared vision. He is also effective at communicating and influencing at Board level, with experience as the Founding Chairman of the Board of Cetrel Securities SA, and as a board member of three major investments in a 2bn infrastructure fund of DWS.

He is a firm believer in giving back to the community and developing colleagues, demonstrated by his launch of the APM Club Schuman, a co-development group for business owners, his participation as a Mentor in the Business Mentoring program of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, and his passion for education as an Adjunct Professor in the MBA and executive education programs of the Sacred Heart University.

JM holds a PhD and Msc in Economics from the Ecole des HEC of the University of Lausanne, has completed the Advanced Management Program of the Harvard Business School (APM173) and is a Certified Director by ILA and INSEAD via the International Directors Program (IDP8-C).
